How your Consistency Score works

How your Consistency Score works

Your Consistency Score appears on the Today tab and in the report you see after each Sleep Log. It measures how consistently you’re following the program, not how well you slept.

What it measures

Each night gets a score from 0 to 100 based on up to four things, depending on where you are in the program:

  • Logging your sleep. From day one. A night without a Sleep Log scores 0.

  • Waking up on time. Once you have an Ideal Wake Time: getting up between 30 minutes before and 10 minutes after it.

  • Getting out of bed when you can’t sleep. Once you have an Ideal Wake Time: if you’re awake for more than 20 minutes in one stretch, getting out of bed counts. Short awakenings don’t affect it.

  • Going to bed on time. Once you have an Earliest Bedtime: getting into bed at or after it.

How it’s calculated

The score isn’t about one night alone. Last night counts for 70%, and the average of the previous 6 nights counts for the other 30%. A night you didn’t log counts as 0 in that average, so one missed log can pull your score down for up to a week.

Why it can drop after a good night

  • You missed a Sleep Log in the past 7 days.

  • One of the previous nights was off: you got up outside the wake-time range, got into bed before your Earliest Bedtime, or stayed in bed through a long awakening.

Note: this is not the same as Sleep Window Consistency in My Sleep, which only looks at how closely you follow your Sleep Window.

Rest is not a medical treatment and doesn’t replace care from your clinician.
